Maverick’s is a new business under new ownership, Michael Townsend.  Their Open Date was February 26.  They are located at 2763 Sierra Hwy, Rosamond.

This may be the best time for buyers and sellers to get into the market. Interest rates are still far lower than the historical average of 8% at only about 3.28% for a 30-year fixed rate mortgage. For sellers it may be a good opportunity to refinance, downsize, or sell and get the equity out of your property.
Rosamond is in need of homes to sell and this may be a great time as prices are continuing to increase and demand is high. This is a new record high for Rosamond as our previous high besides the recent increases in the market was right before the crash in 2007 at just over $316,000. This high price point is due to the lack of inventory, high demand, and low interest rates. Buyers are very active in the market and have been forced to offer over asking price due to the lack of inventory.

Text Box: Rosamond Chamber Annual Elections
Text Box: Every Year, Rosamond Chamber of Commerce has their annual Board of Directors Elections in May.  This year we have two directors that are up for reelection - Gene Melchers & Albert Gatton.
The election process is normally as follows:  April nominations are accepted for director available positions.  Nominations are Text Box: accepted at the April Public Meeting.  Then at the May Public meeting, the nominees are voted into position by membership votes.
There are 5 directors, and one or two are up for election every year on a rotating basis - this year being Gene and Albert.
Last year, due to Covid-19 reText Box: strictions, Joe Bender was reappointed into position.  Considering that we are still under covid-19 restrictions for public meetings, nominations will be announced by member email on April 15th.  Then by May 20th, we will have a vote by email from membership response.
